Project ERA mini Turbo

Postby mk1leg » 05 Oct 2017, 22:03

Hi..I have just purchased this ERA turbo thats has been sat in a garage for the last 13 years
Image
changed 3 wheels so as to move it
Image
Image
on its way
Image
Image
first time its been out of the garage since 2004
Image
a quick rinse before I get it towed to my home
Image
front seat is a a bit worse for ware
Image
But I managed to source these parts from a chap that did the leather conversion
Image
and genuine Mileage as I have known this ERA since it came to Jersey back in the 90s
Image
the plan is to have the engine totally rebuilt in the UK and get the shell repaired and resprayed

Fantastic timewarp car.....I remember drooling over the ERA in 1989. Good luck with the resto....I'm sure you have a great investment :D

Managed to get the rear spoiler and arches off whilst dodging the rain drops I would say that these ERAs were hasterly put together they must of used a BRG mini with std arches as they have left the old rivets in over the rear arches and as for soposed 8 body kit support brackets mine only has 4 and very rusty rear valance
