This car is clearly out of sync with the general run-of-work OKD cars which were Mk2's. I think this car is a classic example of what my mum would describe as '.....I smell a rat'

There is another similar example I've heard of relating to an almond green Mk2 supposed Liverpool Police car. Nobody has seen it and theories abound. But I ain't convinced - or fooled!

There would have been no original dash or roof holes if the car has been reshelled. Regarding the colour. Other than those still displaying the car as original, who would have wanted it to remain in 'police white'? Even leaving the roof white (not OEW) would have betrayed it.
The Liverpool police cars had a rearview mirror only on the driver's side.

I'm no expert on the Liverpool police cars but I do remember that a sister car, OKD 700F featured in one of the books on the Mini in a two page spread with a policeman standing by it.

By memory is hazy but I seem to recall that they weren't Old English White but painted a special 'police white' in the factory. Also no mention of the holes in the dash where the police radios, etc. would have been fitted. If it is meant to be a Mk2 car but is in a Mk1 shell, why is the interior from a Mk 1, surely it should have a black Mk2 interior? As so often happens we are left wondering what it really is?
