I dug out my old reversing lamp and cleaned it up ready for refitting.

And now it is fitted - although it refuses to work at present

It's a "Desmo" branded item and looks identical to the reversing lamp in period BMC accessory literature. Spotted it on the Mk1 Forum which is a mine of information: http://mk1-performance-conversions.co.u ... sories.htm

Frankly as a reversing light its illumination is less than brilliant, but I am hoping it might at least serve as a warning to others of my intentions....

Used my new Ctek battery charger to ensure the Cooper is ready for the next dry and salt free day....

Spent all day on the motorway (380 mile round trip) picking up some seats.

Yesterday went to Mini Machine to pick up some panels and bumpers. Today searched on the interweb for more stuff.

Moved the engine crane into another garage to make some room to drop the front subframe out of my '60.

Thought about going out in the garage this evening but the sting in Barbara's tail is putting me off at the moment - hope all is well further North :(

I stripped down my Lucas C40 dynamo for a refurb. Had to drill out the field coil screws but I expected to have to do that. Went to order field coil webbing from flea-bay and the seller is closed for Christmas - I mean some people :!:
